GLP Ladder is built to collect as little as possible. This page explains what the site does and does not do with information, as the site is built today.
The short version
- The site is static. There are no accounts, logins or comments.
- Calculators run in your browser. Your current inputs are also written into the page address so a result can be bookmarked, shared or restored.
- We do not sell personal data.
- Analytics, if enabled, is limited and respects your privacy signals.
Calculators and your inputs
Numbers you type into a calculator are processed by code running in your own browser. The tools also write your current inputs into the page address, so the result can be bookmarked, shared or restored. If you reload, bookmark, open or share that address, the inputs travel with it, and like any web request the address reaches our hosting provider, Railway, whose infrastructure may keep standard request logs. Our own server code does not log request addresses. Be careful about sharing a link that contains numbers you consider private.
Local storage
The site uses your browser’s localStorage for three things, all kept only on your device and never sent to us:
- Theme. Your light or dark choice, so it is remembered.
- My Ladder. Results you choose to save: a name you can edit, the tool, the compound, the tool settings and the date you saved it.
- Recently used. The last few tool pages you used and their settings, listed on My Ladder.
You can delete saved results and clear the recently used list on the My Ladder page, or clear everything at any time in your browser settings.
Optional email signup
The site offers an optional email signup for dated updates when a trial readout, label change or price program changes a number.
- Double opt-in. Your address is stored as unconfirmed. You are not subscribed, and we send nothing else, until you confirm through the link in a confirmation email.
- What we store. Your email address, which signup form you used, the path of the page you signed up on (without any query string), the consent wording version and the time.
- What we do not store. Your IP address. A salted hash of it is kept briefly in server memory only to limit abuse, and it is never written to disk.
- Where it is kept. On the storage of our hosting provider, Railway. We do not sell or share the list.
- Unsubscribe link. Every email carries one.
- Retention. An unconfirmed address is kept until you confirm it or ask us to delete it.
- Removal. Email info@glpladder.com to have your address deleted at any time.
We use the address only to send those updates.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 runs only on the production site, and only if it has been configured. When it runs, these limits apply:
- Timing. It loads after your first interaction on the page, or after about 5 seconds, not before.
- Privacy signals. It never loads when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is turned on in your browser.
- Site search. It never loads on a URL that carries a site-search parameter.
- What is sent. The page path, without the query string or hash.
- Consent Mode v2. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization are denied everywhere. Analytics storage is denied by default in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
- Google signals and ad personalization. Both are off.
We use analytics only to understand which pages are read and whether they load properly. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
No sale of data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We have no ad network on the site at launch.
Links to other sites
Pages link to primary sources such as FDA, DailyMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed and manufacturer sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Children
The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your requests
To ask what we hold about you, to have an email address removed, or to raise any privacy question, use the contact page. Please do not include health information in your message. See the Terms and Disclosures for related statements.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. The effective date above shows the current version.
