Semaglutide titration schedule calculator
Short answer
Week of step k = 1 + weeks per step × (k − 1). From a Jan 5, 2026 start, 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 1.7 mg run 4 weeks each and 2.4 mg begins week 17 (Apr 27). It shows the FDA label ladder, not a recommendation; your prescriber sets your steps. Dates as of Oct 19, 2026.

Where the ladders come from
| Ladder | Steps (mg, weekly) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Wegovy label ladder to 2.4 mg | 0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 1.7 → 2.4 | Novo Nordisk, Jun 18, 2026 |
| Ozempic label ladder to 2 mg | 0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 2 | Novo Nordisk, Jun 1, 2026 |
FDA labels set a minimum of 4 weeks per step; a prescriber may hold a step longer. The table assumes exactly 4 weeks so the dates are a best case, not a plan.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Wegovy dose schedule on the label?
- Wegovy starts at 0.25 mg once weekly for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg, 1 mg and 1.7 mg for 4 weeks each, then the 2.4 mg maintenance dose (1.7 mg is an alternative). Ozempic starts at 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg, with 1 mg and 2 mg steps after at least 4 weeks each.
Can the weeks per step be changed?
- Yes, the calculator accepts any number of weeks per step. The published label uses at least 4 weeks per step; labels allow a prescriber to hold a step longer.
Does the table show doses or dates first?
- Each row is one week: week number, the Monday-to-Sunday dates from your start date, and the weekly dose. Step changes are highlighted, and the first date of each new step is listed separately.
Where can I see how a ladder changes modeled levels?
- Open the same ladder in the Semaglutide plotter: it draws each step above the modeled amount so you can see the build-up after each increase.
Is semaglutide FDA approved?
- Yes. FDA approved as Ozempic (type 2 diabetes) and Wegovy (weight management, cardiovascular risk reduction). Numbers on this page quote the FDA prescribing information; your prescriber sets your dose.
